I almost didn’t make it in time to review the SIA SilverKris Lounge in Suvarnabhumi International airport due to a minor emergency prior. My friend and I arrived slightly under 1 hour 30 minutes before take off. Thankfully, the business class check in process was smooth, aided by the additional benefit of a priority lane which I’ll blog about in a subsequent post.
What a pity, I thoroughly enjoyed being in this lounge despite the miserly 30 mins that was left.
The lounge itself wasn’t too hard to locate and the additional benefit was that it was located near our boarding gate.
It isn’t a spectacular lounge in terms of aesthetics but the food sure made up for it. I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking!
This was the first lounge that I visited that had a bar. Sadly, I didn’t have time to explore what it had to offer.
We proceeded to find a seat and first thing on our mind was food.
I was happily snapping some pictures when I saw an epic freezer full of Haagen dazs! Never seen one at Changi’s SilverKris lounge before.
I was there right when the pad thai came. Is it strange to say that I didn’t have pad thai throughout the time I was in Bangkok and this was a pleasant surprise?
30 mins is way too short to enjoy the food and drinks offered in this lounge. Time flew by faster than Thanos could snap his fingers.
I don’t think I can say this is my favourite lounge, but the fact that they offered Haagen-Dazs was impressive. The food was also easily better than what was offered on board.
