It’s been six months since the start of this blog. There have been many firsts this year; the most memorable one being in First Class (Suites). Never in my wildest dream thought that this would ever be possible.
It took courage initially to share my journeys and secrets to luxury travel but I realised the greater blessing is seeing my fellow readers and friends being able to access a different class of travel. In a famous bible story, 5 small loaves and 2 fishes were multiplied by Jesus to feed 5,000 people because of a little boy’s generosity in sharing his lunch!
I have a friend who’s planning to bring his wife to the United States from SG in business class. That’s no small feat considering that a one way trip for two will cost him 184,000 miles!
Let’s do a quick recap of this year with some pictures not found in previous posts:
June 2017: SIA First Class (Suites) to Hong Kong. Click here for full story.
September 2017: Business Class on a ferry. Click here for full story
November 2017: SIA Business Class to Osaka, Japan. Click here for full story.
December 2017: Entertainer’s most worth it 1 for 1: Shin Minori Buffet at UE Square.
After trying many 1 for 1s on the Entertainer. This buffet takes the cake. It cost me $51.45 nett. That’s $25.7 for one person! I don’t know of any Japanese buffets that is cheaper than this. Furthermore, the quality of food was really decent!

Looking forward in 2018…
I’ve already booked a business class seat to Seoul, South Korea, so stay tuned for that.
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to take any other trips. 2018 looks set to be a busy year as my workplace is relocating and I’m likely to shift house as well. But this also presents new opportunities. I’ll touch on how to earn miles by allocating big purchases to the right credit cards, and through new signups.
My aim is to bring my wife and I on SIA’s new First Class Suites to Sydney in December but the saver award space is a unicorn at the moment. So I might either:
1 – Redeem short haul business to one of the Asean countries.
2 – Save my miles for medium haul business/first class travel on SIA’s new A380s on various routes that will be rolled out eventually.
3 – Save up for long haul business to US East Coast (New York).
I’m going to explore various dining apps other than the Entertainer, and as always, aim to share with you only the very best deals.
I’m also looking forward to writing on various topics and intend to start the ball rolling by sharing my cryptocurrency journey as well as in stocks and shares which I’m more familiar with.
Till then, thank you for your support, readership, and friendship!
Wishing you in advance, a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! See you in 2018!
